Submit an Official Transcript

An official transcript is a certified record of your academic achievements issued directly by your educational institution or testing agency to York Technical College.

To ensure that your transcript is recognized as official by York Technical College, the transcript must originate from an institution or testing agency that is properly accredited and/or recognized by relevant educational authorities. The transcript must include validating mechanisms to verify the document’s authenticity. 

Acceptable Methods of Delivery

Electronic Transcripts

If sending electronically, transcripts must be sent through an authorized and secure electronic delivery service directly to York Technical College’s email address: arecords@yorktech.edu.

  • It is strongly recommended that students utilize this option, if your institution provides this service.

Mailed Transcripts

If mailed, transcripts must arrive in a sealed, unopened envelope to verify authenticity. Mailed transcripts should be sent directly from the sending institution to:

High School Transcript and Equivalency Requirements

“Work In-Progress” Official Transcript

  • An official work in-progress transcript is a document sent directly from your high school to York Technical College.

  • It must come in a sealed envelope from the school or submitted electronically through an approved electronic service (e.g., Parchment, Scribbles)

“Completed” Official Transcript

  • An official completed transcript is a document sent directly from your high school and includes the complete academic record of the student. The completed transcript will typically include the following:
    • All final coursework and grades earned
    • Graduation status
    • Cumulative GPA
    • Class rank (if available)
    • Diploma indicator (confirmation that a high school diploma was awarded)
    • Signature of school administrator

High School Equivalency

  • If you did not complete a traditional high school, you can submit:
    • An official GED transcript, including all test scores
    • A High School Equivalency Transcript

  • These documents must be issued by a state-approved testing agency or recognized educational authority. For international transcripts, an official evaluation must be completed through a credential evaluation agency that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES).
