The Presidential Scholars Honors Program at York Technical College provides a select group of high-achieving students with a unique educational experience designed to prepare them for success at the university of their choice. Read our frequently asked questions below to learn more about the program.
- Apply to York tech as a First-Time Freshman.
- Submit an official high school, dual enrollment, or college transcript.
- Complete the Presidential Scholars application by August 21.
- Participate in a Presidential Scholars Interview.
Presidential Scholars is an elite scholarship and academic program that prepares students for leadership in technical programs, universities and promising careers. Advantages include:
- Full tuition scholarship Tuition waiver for Life Scholarship recipients for fall and spring semesters.
- Textbooks provided for Presidential Scholars courses
- Letter of Distinction upon completion of the program
- Leadership development and enrichment activities
- Focused advising for a seamless transfer to each student’s choice of university
Yes, students can enter the program with any amount of dual credit and AP credit.
Presidential Scholars complete Clifton Strengths, have membership in are members of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and assist in the leadership of college and community efforts to build community.
Through these efforts, students develop leadership, communication, and team building skills while building meaningful professional relationships.
