Institutional Excellence/Institute for Teaching Excellence

The Office of Institutional Excellence (OIE) is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of Institutional Research, Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Accreditation activities. The Institute for Teaching Excellence (ITE) is a unit within the OIE, and its mission is to Train, Inspire, Motivate, and Support YTC faculty.

The OIE manages the College’s reporting (internal and external); designs and creates critical performance metrics; designs and executes our strategic planning processes; manages College level accreditation and supports program accreditation; and supports and monitors all student learning outcomes.

The ITE partners with faculty, academic units, and technical divisions to: create learner-centered environments; provide performance based feedback; foster faculty communities around pedagogy and andragogy; deliver meaningful professional development; explore new teaching methodologies; streamline community and faculty resources; and maintain high standards for on-ground, hybrid, and online courses.
