The Academic Planner in Navigate is an interactive tool that allows you to view the classes in your program in the suggested order you should take them. You’ll work with your advisor to plan your entire degree, term-by-term. Before registration each semester, you will receive feedback from your advisor to make sure you register for the classes you need. You can access your Plan at any time to view your progress and make edits throughout your journey at York Tech.

What’s my login information? You use the same ID and password you would use to login to D2L, Web Advisor, or your York Tech email.
My major on the Planner screen is wrong. What do I do? First, check with your advisor to confirm which major you’re officially enrolled in. If you need to change your major, contact the Academic and Career Advising Center (803) 327-8066 or academicadvising@yorktech.edu.
Where is the Planner in the app? The Planner function of Navigate is only accessible through the desktop version (Yorktech.edu/navigate). We recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox browser.
I found a major I like in Major Explorer. Can I change my major using Navigate? No. Please visit the Academic and Career Advising Center to discuss changing your major. Call (803) 327-8066 or email academicadvising@yorktech.edu.
No times show up when I try to set an appointment with my (advisor, instructor, etc)/The time I want is not available. Make sure to check several days into the future in case they are just out of available times this week. If you see no times at all, please contact (person) directly to ask about availability. Please consider choosing an available time, and if none of them work, please contact the person or office directly regarding possible alternatives.
Can I see anything relating to Financial Aid? Students can access “My Financial Aid” in Resources (Frequently Used or Financial Aid). Students should contact Financial Aid (finaid@yorktech.edu) for further questions.
As a transient/visiting or dual enrollment student, do I register through Navigate as well? No, complete the Course Selection Form as usual. Refer to the Admissions Office for assistance.
If I am blocked from registration for certain classes who do I contact? If you’re a current student, check the Hold Center in Navigate to see any active holds and follow the prompt to resolve the hold if available. If no holds in Navigate, contact your academic advisor for assistance with registration. You can find your advisor’s information in Resources > People. Make an appointment in Navigate with your academic advisor by going to Appointments.
How do I know if my classes were actually registered? When you click the blue “Register” button, Navigate will provide a pop-up “Transaction History” that will let you know if you are registered successfully. You can also go to Navigate > Class Schedule to verify.
