Mason tenders work alongside the brick mason, maintaining cleanliness, keeping materials on hand, and anticipating the mason's needs without being told. As a mason tender, you do many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that allow the Mason to do complicated brickwork. When the mason is done, you climb up the scaffolding to chip off any excess grout, apply sealants to the bricks and grout, and repair cracked or damaged bricks. Additionally, you wash down the remaining brick so the Mason will have a clean surface to work on. In short, you keep everything organized for the mason. This 96 hour course covers the basic skills required to work as a mason tender.
