 York Technical College is now assisting companies interested in applying for a USDOL Registered Apprenticeship for one or more of their work/occupation areas.  Nationwide, more than 900 occupations in a wide range of industries have registered apprenticeship programs.  A registered apprenticeship program is recognized by the federal government, which ensures that the training meets federally approved standards for job duties, related academic instruction, wages, and safety conditions.  Certifications earned through DOL Registered Apprenticeship programs are recognized nationwide as portable industry credentials.  If you are interested in finding out more about DOL Registered Apprenticeships contact Brenda Odom at 803-981-7144.
