Who
can Attend? The first 50 young women in the 6th to 9th grades
(public, private, or home schooled) and their mothers
(although aunts, grandmothers, guardians, or dads are welcome) to
register. (An adult must accompany each girl.)
Cost: $15.00 per person

This one-day workshop shows the young women, through hands-on
activities, that engineering is a fun and exciting career open to
them. The program is first-come, first-served and no more than 50
young women will be able to participate. Mothers are encouraged to
attend with their daughters, but aunts, grandmothers, guardians, or
even dads are welcome to attend. Each student may bring only one
adult. All activities will be held at York Technical College’s Rock
Hill campus. Student workshops will be held in C-building in
the labs and classrooms. The parents' program will be
held in C-118.
Student Activities
This

activities from previous years included alternative energy, DC
motors, and mouse trap cars. The
program is first-come, first-served and no more than 50 young women
(6th through 9th grades)

are welcome to attend. Each student may bring only one adult. All
activities will be held at York Technical College’s Rock Hill

Adult Activities
Speakers will be on hand to talk to adults
about helping girls choose colleges and careers.
Registration
Registration is first-come,
first-served to the first 50 girls (6th through 9th grades) who sign up. The cost is $15.00
per person. Twenty-five girls in each age group will be
accepted.
Girls
will need to pre-register. No registration will be accepted
after Feb 11, 2011.
The girls will need to have the responsible
adult, parent or guardian register at the same time.
