OMNOVA Completes Pledge to the New Chester Center of York Technical College

CHESTER—Lucille Mackey, human resources director for OMNOVA Solutions, and Theresa Carter, executive director of the OMNOVA Solutions Foundation, visited the new Chester Center of York Technical College, now under construction off Highway 9. Carter flew in from the OMNOVA Solutions Foundation headquarters to tour the construction in person. While at the Center, Carter and Mackey presented Dr. Ed Duffy of the York Technical College Foundation with a check from the OMNOVA Solutions Foundation. The gift completed a $50,000 contribution that OMNOVA had pledged for the construction of the new Center at the time it was announced five years ago.

The representatives of OMNOVA were pleased with the progress they saw and commented that they looked forward to returning for the grand opening. The second floor student commons area will be named in recognition of OMNOVA and its ongoing support of the Chester Center. OMNOVA has long been a corporate partner with York Technical College and continues to be a leading proponent of economic development activities in the region.
