Welcome Back Blast Offers Students Important Information About Flu

ROCK HILL—York
Technical College will host its annual Welcome Back
Blast on Thursday,
September 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and 4:30
p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
outside the Student Center.
In conjunction with this year's Welcome Back Blast,
York Tech and representatives from Piedmont Medical
Center and the South Carolina Department of Health
and Environmental Control (DHEC) will be
disseminating important information about how to
stay healthy during this year's flu season.
York Technical College is taking a number of steps
to prepare for flu season, including:

Informational posters and flyers have been posted in
classrooms and common areas.

Information on preventive measures and links to flu-related
information is available on the college's website.

Hand sanitizing stations will be installed in common areas
of all classroom and administrative buildings.

Custodial personnel will increase efforts to clean surfaces
(desks, keyboards, table/counter tops and door knobs) daily
during the flu season using a hospital-grade neutral
disinfectant cleaner.

Disinfecting wipes for cleaning surfaces will be available
in all labs.
