Book Signing for York Tech's Macdonald to be Held on May 6

ROCK HILL—Dr. Martha Macdonald, an English instructor at York Technical College, recently had her novel Psaltery at White Oaks published by PublishAmerica. Macdonald will be present at a book signing event scheduled for 4 p.m. on May 6 at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the York Technical College campus.

Psaltery at White Oaks is a novel in the Southern historical literary tradition. The novel spans six generations and portrays the struggle of female descendants beginning in 1763.

Macdonald has won numerous awards for writing and teaching, and has published historical children’s stories, poems and plays. She was named the 2007 Educator of the Year for Teaching at York Technical College. She has also taught at William and Mary, Rappahannock Community College, UNC-Asheville, and Belmont-Abbey College.
