TechFest 2000: Bigger and Better than Ever By Michael McAllister ROCK HILLTechFest, York Technical Colleges annual contribution to Rock Hills Come See Me! festival will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday. TechFest 2000 will offer festivities, food, and fun for the whole family on the colleges campus. The Incredible Kids' Universe will feature a kids' bake-off, Easter egg hunts, arts and crafts, a magic show, face painting, moonwalking, and much more. Mascots like Scooby Doo and Buzz the Bee will be greeting kids, young and old. Local bands and cloggers, as well bagpipers and Catawba Indian dancers, will perform throughout the day. Other highlights will include a remote-controlled robot exhibit, a Tae Kwan Do demonstration, the York County Doll Show, and the Rock Hill Hog Chapter Bike Showsomething for everyone. Most activities are scheduled to take place rain or shine. To get to TechFest 2000, take exit 79 off I-77 and follow the signs to York Technical College, 452 S. Anderson Rd. (U.S. 21 Bypass) in Rock Hill.
