    Just minutes from downtown Chester, the Chester Center offers the same services provided on main campus in an effort to provide our students with the tools and resources you need to be successful while attending York Technical College.

    York Technical College and the York Technical College Foundation, Inc. are offering limited scholarship opportunities for Chester County residents enrolling at the Chester Center.*

  • Earn up to a $1,500 Scholarship Award - Limited Scholarships Remaining!

    If you are a Chester County resident and enroll in at least six credit hours at the Chester Center this summer or fall, you can receive up to $1500 in scholarship funds to apply towards your education (eligibility rules apply).  Courses are available for University Transfer, Welding and general education program requirements.

    • General Education
    • General education courses are required to complete college degree programs. These courses prepare students for success in their majors or in their personal and professional lives after graduation. 

    • University Transfer 
    • The University Transfer program gives students the opportunity to complete the first two years of their bachelor’s degree, conveniently and affordably. Students in this program earn an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science Degree, and are prepared for a smooth transition to a four-year college or university. 

    • Welding
      Welding courses are designed for individuals who want to learn the basic principles and practices of welding. These classes are also valuable for those who are interested in enhancing their welding skills.

    Earn up to $2,500 for Career-Ready Training 

    Corporate and Continuing Education at York Tech offers an array of career training at the Chester Center. If you are a Chester County resident interested in completing a career-ready certification (non-credit program) this summer or fall, you may be eligible to receive up to $2500 in scholarship funds.  The following programs are offered at the Chester Center and are eligible for scholarship funding:

    • Certified Logistics Associate  - $1000
      The Certified Logistics Associate course provides foundational-level training for individuals wishing to pursue a career in frontline material handling in warehouses, factories and distribution centers. Competencies covered in this class include: logistics environment and the supply chain management cycle, material handling equipment, safety principles and safe material handling equipment operation, quality control and workplace communications

    • Certified Microsoft Office Specialist  - $1,499
      The Microsoft Office Specialist Certification series is a comprehensive 15-week course that prepares students for certification in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access. The course includes instructor-led training, labs with exam prep software, and certification exams for each MOS product.

    • Certified Nursing Assistant  - $1079
      This interactive six-week course enables Nurse Aide candidates to learn skills in our newly remodeled lab and experience 40 hours of providing direct patient care. Students who successfully complete the curriculum may take their state certification test at York Technical College.

    • Certified Production Technician  - $2399
      This course is designed to provide individuals with the core competencies required for front-line manufacturing production positions. The program consists of five individual certifications including Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production and Maintenance Awareness.

    • Heavy Equipment  - $4995
      This six-week, National Center for Construction Education and Research approved course provides training on the operation of bulldozers, backhoes, excavators and skid steer loaders. Students engage in classroom instruction, field demonstrations and in-seat training which provides students with the ability to apply their new skills and rapidly move toward proficiency as an operator.

    • Lineworker - $5400
      The utility lineworker program consists of three courses over 8 weeks introducing the student to underground utilities, climbing pre-certification and overhead utility work. Students learn through classroom and hands-on activities including climbing, excavating trenches, hanging cross-arms and running utility lines. Students also receive training in OSHA 10 for Construction and First Aid/CPR.
