XELW-501 - Lineworker - Underground

York Tech has partnered with utility companies and contractors in North and South Carolina to offer a comprehensive training program preparing you for entry-level Line Worker positions. This eight (8) week certificate program includes classroom, lab, and field instruction in pole climbing and both overhead and underground line installation. You will be assessed throughout the training in hands-on skill performance, relevant subject area knowledge, and safety compliance. Graduates will be ready for entry-level employment with utility and cable companies. PRE-CERTIFICATION The second portion of the program is one (1) week and assesses your ability to climb utility poles and work with basic lineman hand tools while on the pole. Passing this section is required to advance to the Overhead Line Installation portion.
