Nan Bauroth

Business Writing and Communication

A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Nan Bauroth spent 15 years in corporate Manhattan, first as Director of Advertising and Promotion for Doubleday Publishing. From there she moved to Wall Street, serving as a Director of Marketing Communications for Merrill Lynch, and subsequently as a Vice President of Marketing for Citicorp. Her specialty was launching innovative financial services.
Since then Bauroth has been a freelance journalist and marketing consultant. During this time she has been published in magazines and on websites including HealthLeaders, Oil & Gas Investor, BizLife, Worth.com, Office Solutions, Intelecard News, Buildernews, Executive Summary, Museum Store, Plants, Parks & Sites, Wachovia, Home Furnishings Retailer, Traditional Home, Western Horseman, Chronicle of the Horse, Relaxation, Southeast Equine, International Piano, Vista, Our State, Girls' Life, German Life, The Optimist, Doll World, Finnish American Reporter, Christmas, Winston-Salem Monthly, Ballantyne, SouthPark and others.
Bauroth has appeared as a guest editorial columnist for the Charlotte Observer and other regional newspapers. She ghosted a column on business time management for the New York Times Syndicate, the lead chapter in Innovate or Perish, a Random House book on executive productivity, and a guide to entrepreneurial bootstrapping for Inc. She also served as Managing Editor for a local lifestyle magazine.
Marketing consulting clients have included companies in the HR, Finance, Marketing Research, Oil & Gas Exploration, Health Care, Intellectual Property and Political fields.


Open CCE Adjunct Faculty Positions


The Corporate and Continuing Education Division currently needs instructors in the following areas.

Certified Production Technician
(MSSC Certification)

Experienced in manufacturing processes. Eligible for MSSC certification. Teaching experience.

Certified Logistics Technician
(MSSC Certification)

Experienced in warehousing and logistics within a manufacturing setting. Eligible for MSSC certification. Teaching experience.

Basic Blueprint Reading
Experience with print reading and Technicomp teaching materials. Classroom experience preferred.
